Human IgG1 and IgG3 antibodies (Abs) can mediate Ab-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and engineering of the Ab Fc (point mutation; defucosylation) has been shown to affect ADCC by modulating affinity for FcRγIIIa.
